Who are LighthouseTemple Ltd?

LighthouseTemple are a national provider of Independent Financial Advice. Their locally based advisers are able to provide both personal and corporate advice on an extensive range of financial solutions, including investments and inheritance tax issues.

During the acquisition of the advisory division of Liverpool Victoria May 2007, LighthouseTemple increased their existing 150 experienced advisers nationwide to over 200. Together with other financial advisers within the Lighthouse Group, these advisers provided expert investment advice to thousands of satisfied clients and helped to manage approximately £6 billion of assets in 2007 (an increase of 22% from the previous year).

Who are LighthouseGroup Plc?

The Lighthouse Group plc is thought of as one of the UK’s leading IFA and pension administrator companies in terms of financial stability, management strength and potential growth. Pre-tax profits for the company up to 31 December 2007 were £1.9m, which is a growth of 171% from the previous year. Lighthouse Group has no debt with a cash balance of £9 million and total funds under advice of £6 billion (increase of 22% from the previous year).

In April 2007, they took over the advisory arm of the friendly society Liverpool Victoria, who subsequently branded as LV=. This allowed access for over 5 million LV= customers to market-leading independent financial advice through the Affinity partnership. The Affinity partnership includes Unison (the public service union), UNITE (formerly Amicus and Transport & General Workers Union who merged in May 2007), Royal College of Nursing as well as several other key organisations.

The LighthouseGroup, which is the largest autonomous Independent Financial Advice firm and wealth management group in the UK, completed their merger with Sumus on 6 May 2008 to continue their market leading position. Following the merger, The LighthouseGroup now contains various companies including LighthouseXpress, LighthouseTemple, LighthouseWealth, LighthouseCarrwood, CityTrustees, LighthouseGEB and Falcon Group.
